Introduction: New Build high end housing development that was passed in the old building regulations. The developer wanted the heating system to be more efficient than what was required. Under the old regulations they were not upgrading the fabric of the building to NZEB to allow us to use an ASHP, so this left us to design a fossil fuel high efficiency heating system.
Remit: We designed, supplied and installed an award winning gas boiler featuring a modern new design and boasting a range of features to make controlling the heating and hot water of the development easier. (ERP efficiency 92% Class A). The boiler can be controlled by the new LCD touchscreen or an app. Some of the display features compensation internal temperature sensors and a separate temperature zone to heat the hot water requirement.
The Nuaire Faith-Plus fan was installed because it is compact, quiet and an attractive continuously running extract fan that provides energy efficient ventilation. With the wellbeing and comfort of the home owner in mind, we believe that this technology would deliver the continuous ventilation needed maintaining the correct amount of airflow.
The night-time delay and intelligent run-on-timer saves energy and reduces noise levels. The energy saving humidity tracker continually measures humidity levels and adjusts the fan accordingly.
